What inspired you to pursue a career in physical therapy?
As an athletic trainer and a former athlete, I’ve always taken satisfaction at being able to help young athletes bounce back from an injury and be successful in their desired sport. Working with WPT gives me the ability to do so not only effectively but also efficiently.
How do you customize treatment plans for your patients?
Each treatment plan is customized and geared to the athlete that I am working with at the time. I really enjoy working in sport specific exercises that not only benefit the athlete and push them toward recovery, but also keeps them engaged in what we are trying to do.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job has to be the satisfaction I get after getting an athlete back to their sport and playing at 100%. In my treatment plans I take pride in making things not only effective, but enjoyable for the athlete.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work to maintain your own physical and mental well-being?
I like taking time to see some of my good friends as my work schedule allows. I really like to golf which seems to be a nice environment for me to clear my head and relax. Doing so with friends makes it even more enjoyable.
How do you see the field of physical therapy evolving, and what excites you about the future?
In the future I see more and more young athletes starting to utilize the field of physical therapy. Not only are they getting quality care but are also getting 1 on 1 treatment which ensures the individual is getting the care that they need.
