Cliff Wonsettler  DPT, CSCS

Physical Therapist / Owner

My vision for Wonsettler Physical Therapy and Specialized Health was born out of a desire to create a place where mind, body and spirit can be changed for the better.  After working in conventional PT settings for more than 9 years, it became very apparent to me that most Physical Therapy clinics fail to offer their clients a holistic approach to healing.  I see things differently.  I want to have a conversation about your diet.  How are you managing the stress in your life?  If you’re not able to do what you want physically, what is at the bottom of what’s holding you back?  We humans are not compartmentalized silos – all facets of our lives factor into how we feel and perform.

Like you, I’ve experienced physical setbacks.   I personally know how an injury can derail the best laid plans.  While wrestling for Penn State University in 2001, I suffered a neck injury that required surgery and prevented me from ever competing again.  It was a very difficult time for me, but out of that experience came a desire to help others return to the activities they love, without limitation.  Everything that happens to us is an opportunity!  I thrive when I’m able to help my clients set goals for themselves, breakthrough previous barriers and fears, and achieve a better, healthier version of themselves.  I want to see my community not only survive, but thrive!

I received a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008, and I’m also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  Make an appointment today to see how we here at WPT can help you on your journey to living your healthiest, most full life possible.

Additionally, I’ve received certifications in the application of Dry Needling, am Level 1 and 2 certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and have my Level 1 certification from the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), which is designed to help golfers understand how their physical issues may affect their golf swing, and ways in which they can ultimately overcome these issues to shoot lower scores!
