Please share a brief overview of your education and professional certifications.
I attended Duquesne University and achieved my Bachelor of Arts in Biology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Heath Sciences in 2021. I graduated with my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Duquesne in 2023. Looking to further my knowledge after graduation, I completed an additional Evidence in Motion (EIM) course in functional dry needling.

How do you customize treatment plans for your patients?
I enjoy customizing treatment plans for patients that clearly reflect their goals and aspirations. When creating exercises, I am mindful to craft movements that transcribe to the patient’s goals/needs.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is not just working with people in achieving their goals, but forming a deeper connection/relationship. As the bond strengthens, it is a way to address not only physical barriers, but emotional and mental barriers as well! Celebrating a patient’s wins also feels like a win for myself!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work to maintain your own physical and mental well-being?
Outside of work, I enjoy walking and hiking for my own physical well-being. I also enjoy playing disc golf with my husband, Alex. To address my mental well-being, I love reading, crafting, and keeping in touch with my family and friends.

What advice would you give to someone considering physical therapy as a solution to their health concerns?
For any individual considering PT as a solution to their health concerns, I would recommend keeping an open mind to new treatments and ways of addressing pain!
