Athletic Trainer – Beth Center Jr/Sr High School

Title: Athletic Trainer

Location: Beth Center School District and Scenery Hill WPT Clinic

Position Overview: Wonsettler Physical Therapy & Specialized Health is seeking a certified and passionate Athletic Trainer to join our growing team and serve the student-athletes at Beth Center Jr/Sr High School. This is a rewarding opportunity to make an impact in a rural, close-knit community, supporting a wide range of sports across all three seasons.

About: Wonsettler Physical Therapy and Specialized Health (WPT) is a healthcare and wellness company dedicated to helping people climb their personal health summits. We’re looking for an Athletic Trainer to join our team at Beth Center High School, covering all varsity and JV athletics.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2pm to end of game/practice schedule. No weekend commitments except for rare occasions like playoff games. You will have relief on some weeknights, with coverage being offset by willing physical therapists.

As part of our athletic training program, you will be directly employed by Wonsettler Physical Therapy, not contracted through the school, ensuring ongoing support, mentorship, and access to professional development. Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site athletic training services for practices and games across multiple sports
  • Evaluate and treat sports-related injuries; create and implement treatment plans
  • Communicate with coaches, athletes, parents, and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate documentation of injuries, treatments, and progress
  • Collaborate with school administration and physical therapy staff
  • Participate in injury prevention education and emergency preparedness

  • Jr. High & Varsity Wrestling (Boys & Girls)

Spring Sports:

  • Varsity Baseball
  • Varsity Softball
  • 7/8 Grade Girls Basketball

Qualifications:

  • BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • CPR/AED certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
